Step Into Style
Carpet
Carpeting comes in various types, each with unique characteristics suited for different spaces. Plush carpet, also known as cut pile, is soft and luxurious, making it ideal for bedrooms and living rooms. Berber carpet features looped fibers that are durable and stain-resistant, perfect for high-traffic areas like hallways. Frieze carpet has twisted fibers that create a textured, casual look, often used in family rooms. Patterned carpets combine cut and looped fibers to create designs that add visual interest. Finally, textured carpet is versatile and hides footprints, making it a great choice for busy households.
Hardwood
Hardwood flooring comes in two main types: solid and engineered. Solid hardwood is made from a single piece of wood and can be refinished multiple times, making it highly durable and long-lasting. Common species include oak, maple, and walnut. Engineered hardwood features a thin layer of real wood over a plywood or fiberboard core, offering better resistance to moisture and temperature changes. While engineered hardwood can also be refinished, it’s limited by the thickness of the top veneer, usually allowing for refinishing 1-3 times depending on the quality. Both types provide a timeless, elegant look.
Laminate & Vinyl
Laminate and vinyl flooring are both affordable and durable options that can mimic the look of more expensive materials like hardwood and stone. Laminate is highly resistant to scratches, dents, and stains, making it ideal for high-traffic areas, while vinyl is known for its waterproof properties, making it great for moisture-prone areas like kitchens and bathrooms. Both types of flooring come in a wide variety of designs and colors, allowing homeowners to achieve the desired aesthetic without breaking the bank.
